A Staff Development Trainer at DOLIR will allow you to meet all team members, assist in their professional development, make recommendations, and feel a sense of accomplishment seeing others grow their careers. Consult with leadership to identify training needs to improve team building, communication, and job competencies, increasing performance.
WhatYou Will Do
- Assist with creating and designing instructional training materials for in‑person and virtual sessions.
- Train department team members on various topics in‑person and through virtual platforms.
- Assist with identifying training needs and researching various training topics.
- Maintain and update training records in a learning management system, use interactive gamification platforms, and use Microsoft products for training.
- Assist with managing mandatory training attendance for new hires.
- Assist with scheduling and planning monthly training sessions.
- Assist with assessing training effectiveness.
- Distribute surveys, create reports, and provide outcomes to management for review.
- Stay informed of professional development trends.
- Engage and coach team members about professional development to increase job performance.
- Travel to regional offices frequently and some overnight travel.
- 5 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of the methods of instruction, preparation of training materials, and principles of personnel development.
- Knowledge of various training tools.
- Experience with a Learning Management System.
- Ability to lead discussions and instruct participants.
- Experience in presentations and creating slide decks.
- Ability to operate audio‑visual aids and other equipment used in training.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of various communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Web Ex, and Zoom.
- Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
- Shows initiative to enhance organizational goals.
- Experience with conducting assessments to determine where improvements are needed.
