Mon-Thu 8:30-4

At least 36 college credit hours‑
will need to provide official transcripts

OR
Completion of substitute teacher training will need to providea COPY of HS diploma, GED or HISET is needed (and have translated if applicable)

18.38/hr with 4 year degree

To improve the educational program by assisting the instructional and administrative staff. The Teaching Assistant will assist teachers, reinforcing materials and lessons covered in the classroom to facilitate student learning.

(major duties which the position exists to perform)

• Supports and assists the teacher with daily lesson plan setup and classroom organization
• Helps maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized environment
• Engages with students and supports routines and transitions throughout the day
• Follows an organized, flexible schedule and collaborates openly with the teacher
• Supports the teacher's classroom management and supervision plans
• Uses positive guidance techniques and provides choices when appropriate
• Communicates concerns appropriately to the classroom teacher, Preschool Coordinator, or Director of Early Learning
• Upholds the Parkway and Project Construct philosophy, emphasizing process over product
• Demonstrates a desire to grow professionally, especially in child development and constructivist practices
