Account Manager (Downstream Chemicals) – Evansville, IN / Nashville, TN Area

We are looking for an Account Manager to build relationships and deliver value to ensure customer success. If you enjoy troubleshooting technical issues and developing solutions to meet customers’ needs, this is the role for you.

Our Downstream Chemicals Team utilizes specialty chemicals, equipment, digital tools, and over 100 years of industry knowledge to deliver value to our customers. We provide best‑in‑class technology and support to optimize process, finished fuels, and water treatment applications where we operate.

• Safely managing day-to-day operations of process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
• Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
• Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L
• Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
• Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
• Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
• Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers
• Providing field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations
• Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer locations

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar discipline
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in refining, petrochemical, industrial, and/or water treatment industries
• Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
• A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions
• Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
• A TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card
• Reside in a location which will allow for weekly customer service visits to Russellville, KY, Calvert City, KY and Evansville, IN

Typical hours Monday – Friday 7am - 4pm. Must support business after hours as required.
