The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Civil
Project Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and manage complex civil engineering projects within the Water/Wastewater, Land Development, or Municipal Services sectors. This is a strategic role for a well-rounded engineer who thrives in a leadership position, has a strong technical background, and excels in client and team management. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of civil engineering experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from concept through completion.
- Manage multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, from planning and design to permitting and construction oversight.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and public agencies, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including junior engineers, CAD designers, subconsultants, and construction personnel.
- Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and pursuit strategy.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and professional development to junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor and manage project risks, conflicts, and resource allocation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven project management experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Water and wastewater infrastructure
- Land development (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Municipal engineering (roadways, drainage, utility systems, etc.)
- Proficiency with design and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and grow accounts.
- Experience with permitting, agency coordination, and public presentations.
- This position offers a salary range of $75,000–$110,000 per year, along with comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay.
