Job Description & How to Apply Below

Scheuch North America, a division of the Scheuch Group, provides turnkey air pollution control and bulk material handling solutions across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Through its brands CAMCORP and Schust Engineering, the company combines leading European expertise with local engineering and field service capabilities. Schust Engineering delivers industrial ventilation systems designed to protect employees’ air quality with flexible, end-to-end project management from estimation through installation.

CAMCORP designs and manufactures reliable dust collection and bulk material handling equipment, emphasizing custom solutions rather than one-size-fits-all designs. Together, these teams create technology for clean air and efficient material handling, supported by passionate employees and in-house manufacturing resources.

We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) to join our engineering team supporting the design of custom industrial air pollution control systems. This role is responsible for the structural design and analysis of equipment, support structures, platforms, ductwork supports, and stacks, ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes and industry standards.
This role can be remote, but candidates in the Fort Wayne, Kansas City or Pittsburgh areas are preferred.

Working closely with Systems Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Drafting, you'll provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle—from concept and design through fabrication and installation. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and reduce reliance on outside engineering firms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structural components for industrial equipment and support systems.
  • Perform structural calculations for wind, seismic, thermal, and operational loads.
  • Review engineering drawings and fabrication packages for accuracy and code compliance.
  • Provide PE review and stamping of structural designs as required.
  • Support project execution by resolving technical questions and participating in customer or site visits when needed.
  • Develop structural design standards and mentor engineers pursuing PE licensure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE, IBC, and related structural design codes.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (STAAD, RISA, or similar) and CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Industrial equipment, steel structures, ductwork supports, or process systems.
  • Experience producing engineering calculations and stamped drawings for fabricated systems.
Why Join Us?

Join a collaborative engineering team designing custom environmental and industrial systems that make a real impact. You'll work on complex, one-of-a-kind projects while having the opportunity to influence engineering standards, mentor others, and see your designs come to life.

No agencies please.
This is a remote role - candidates in Fort Wayne, Kansas City or Pittsburgh area are preferred.
