This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate salary of $56,712.48, and a Senior salary of $61,249.44.

WhatYou’ll Do
- Assist in the management and preparation of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s budget, including the department’s appropriation request books, fund financial summaries and all other documents required for the annual legislative budget request.
- Work with divisions and districts within the department to develop budgets prior to the start of each fiscal year and prepare the fiscal year-end analysis of MoDOT’s budget and actual expenditures for the department’s executive leadership team.
- Analyze appropriation balances and legislative appropriation authority to ensure funds are available throughout the fiscal year as well as research and respond to questions regarding the department’s budget.
- Prepare budget documents for Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
- Provide ongoing analysis of the department’s revenue and expenditures and assist in preparing the department’s annual financial forecast.
Bachelor’s Degree:
Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Planning, Public Administration, or related field, OR Four years of experience in positions related to multimodal transportation, federal or state grant program management, public or transportation administration, transportation planning, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
