FCS Financial is seeking a Resource Officer to manage complex loan restructurings, workout strategies, and high-risk credit relationships. In this role, you'll work closely with customers, lenders, credit professionals, and legal counsel to develop solutions that minimize risk, maximize asset recovery, and support long-term customer success.
What You'll Do- Develop and negotiate loan workout and restructuring strategies for complex problem accounts.
- Analyze risk, collateral values, repayment capacity, and recovery potential.
- Determine loan classifications, asset values, charge-offs, and accrual status.
- Partner with legal counsel on bankruptcies, foreclosures, probate matters, and other recovery actions.
- Manage acquired properties, including valuations, maintenance, marketing, and sales.
- Advise lending teams on risk mitigation strategies and problem loan management.
- Support FSA guaranteed loan programs, loss claims, and reporting requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in lending, credit analysis, special assets, collections, or risk management.
- Expertise in credit analysis, loan restructuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of borrower rights, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and collection practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of agriculture and agricultural lending.
- Competitive Salary:

Candidates must reside in our Loan Servicing Area (Missouri).
This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Job Functions Risk Mitigation (50%)- Determines the problem loan strategy that results in the greatest benefit and least cost to the association
- Completes and approves or denies least cost analysis of borrower’s application for restructuring with consideration for Borrower Rights and customer needs
- Effectively negotiates loan workout/restructuring terms with customers and/or indirectly through other Association Staff or legal counsel to
- Advise Credit and Marketplace staff team members on alternatives to service, correct/modify loan anomalies and/or improve risk mitigation in maintain or move the relationship
- Completes work independently with a limited degree of supervision. Solves moderately to higher complex problems within established policies and procedures as well as government regulations.
- Obtain sufficient information for preparation and reporting the FSA guarantee reports, loss claims and applications.
- Mentors and collaborates with other Resource Team members of Resource Managers, Resource Specialists and Association staff on risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Collaborates with lead lenders on adversely classified participation accounts to protect interests of Association.
- Determines proper accounting for loan modifications
- Determines loan asset values, specific allowances, charge-offs, and accrual status
