Senior Accounts Assistant

The Family Support Division (FSD), Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Senior Accounts Assistant. This position will be located in Cole County based at 3705 MO Blvd., Jefferson City, MO.

• Monitoring the efficiency and accuracy of the invoicing process.
• Reconciliation of multiple programs with multiple funding streams.
• Create and maintain multiple, diverse financial logs.
• Analyze and research financials for discrepancies or errors in billing.
• Provide feedback on invoice and budget status to management.
• Track provider expenses to ensure they stay within budget and utilize their funds.
• Review and process invoices.
• Review and process budgets and budget narratives.
• Maintain all electronic files.
• Perform other related work as assigned.

3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Skill in using automated financial systems.
• Ability to apply accounting principles and practices to varied levels of accounting transactions.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff.
