The Health Fiscal Services Team is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payments, invoices, and expense reports. The Accounts Assistant will ensure proper coding and compliance with state and agency policies, and collaborate closely with department staff to resolve issues and maintain high standards of fiscal responsibility.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

• Process payments, invoices, and expense reports in both State financial systems- SAMII and Missouri Buys. in accordance with agency and state guidelines.
• Verify that all financial transactions and expenditures are accurately coded and documented.
• Work collaboratively with department staff to address questions, clarify coding, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external partners.

• 1‑3 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with department staff.
