Investment Intern

The LAGERS paid investment internship program provides the experience to understand asset allocation, investment strategy, market analysis, and many other components of managing an $11 billion, multi-asset portfolio. With personalized mentoring from our CIO and other industry professionals, this is your opportunity to launch your career in institutional investing.

• Research and Analysis:
  Conducts analysis of investment strategies and vehicles across equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
• Due Diligence:
  Supports the IMR team in conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
• Portfolio Management Support:
  Assists in monitoring the performance of existing investments, updating and maintaining databases, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective decision-making.
• Financial Modeling:
  Updates existing financial models and communicates with the investment team the results.
• Reporting:
  Prepares reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, summarizing research findings, investment strategies, and performance metrics.
• Market Monitoring:
  Stays updated on market trends and economic developments that could impact the fund's investments.
• Collaboration:
  
  Works closely with the investment team to support the implementation of investment strategies.

• You are a motivated university student within 12 months of graduation with a keen interest in institutional investing.
• You thrive in an in‑person, team orientated environment and are eager to contribute.
• You are available at least 15 hours per week, with flexibility around your classes.
• You are driven to grow, eager to sharpen your skills, and ready to dive deep into the world of investment management.
