The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
Responsibilities- Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of oral health programs (e.g., community water fluoridation, workforce initiatives, community-based preventive services, medical-dental integration, etc.).
- Develop and monitor SMART objectives, logic models, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance dashboards.
- Identify program gaps and implement continuous quality improvement strategies.
- Supervise program staff including setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and conducting engagement meetings.
- Oversee grant deliverables, timelines, and reporting requirements and collaborate with fiscal and leadership on budget tracking and forecasting.
- Monitor contracts and partner performance to ensure compliance and impact and support data modernization and performance measurement initiatives to guide program improvements.
- Represent the Office of Dental Health at meetings, conferences, and public forums and continue to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, social sciences, or related field; experience in oral health or prevention-focused public health programs preferred.
- 3-5 years experience of progressively responsible experience in public health program management.
- 0-1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of public health principles, oral health programs, and program evaluation methods.
- Experience with grants, contracts, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Ability to work collaboratively with schools, community partners, and public health professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. (Equivalent experience may substitute for education where applicable.)
