About the Role
The Family Support Division is seeking a Benefit Program Technician at the Cole County Child Support Office (615 Howerton Ct., Jefferson City, MO). This role serves Missouri residents by assessing their child support needs via phone and in-person, guiding them through establishing paternity orders and making/receiving child support payments. It offers a consistent, structured schedule and generous leave benefits to support work/life balance.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Answer phone calls and address questions related to child support programs and resources.
- Assist and guide clients through the process of establishing paternity orders.
- Help clients make and receive child support payments.
- Scan, index, distribute, and enter client information into computer-based systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and related data.
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least four years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Personable, compassionate, non‑judgmental attitude.
- Excellent customer service and typing skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
Current rate is $RATE. Selected individuals may receive a higher rate based on pay differentials such as shift or time‑of‑service pay.
