The salary reflected represents the base pay for this position and does not include any differential for time-of-service pay for state tenure.

We have opportunities for individuals seeking meaningful work in providing administrative, business and information technology services to the Missouri courts.
We are recruiting to fill a Business Analyst position to perform work analyzing organizational needs; designing alternative workflow solutions; determining and documenting requirements and formats; and working with Information Technology Services, Court Business Services and Administrative Services staff to develop, test and rollout proposed solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and document business process areas, identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into clearly written, concise and easy to understand functional requirements that thoroughly explains complex issues, processes, procedures, changes and proposed solutions.
- Create process flows, concept document, requirement document and functional specifications.
- Ability to analyze business data to support design decisions.
- Present concepts and design solutions to committees for approval.
- Collaborate with development team, business teams, end users to deliver solutions.
- Develop and implement quality assurance tests for both manual and automated testing.
- Support user acceptance testing and implementation strategy.
- Monitor project progress and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Ability to analyze policies, procedures and operations; organize their component parts into system specifications, databases and/or programs; and adapt them to an automated system.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to elicit requirements using different techniques
- Ability to create and understand process diagrams, flowcharts and business models.
- Ability to identify and define scope, objectives and functionality of a project
- Ability to translate technical terminology into easy-to-understand terms.
- Ability to translate business processes into information technology requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of relational database design
- Working knowledge of structured query language (SQL)
- Working knowledge of the general operating principles and capabilities of computer hardware and software
- Working knowledge of software frameworks used by the Information Technology Services Division
