Position OverviewThe Missouri Ethics Commission is seeking an organized and proactive Entry‑Level Systems Administrator to support our dedicated staff of 24 employees in Jefferson City. The MEC serves the public interest by promoting transparency, accountability, and compliance with campaign finance, lobbying, and conflict of interest laws across Missouri.
In this role, you will maintain the vital technology, hardware, and infrastructure that directly support this critical, public‑facing mission. This is an excellent opportunity for a foundational tech professional to grow their skills in end‑to‑end systems management and user support.

- User Support:
Assist end users in resolving hardware and software issues and diagnosing problems. - Network Infrastructure:
Perform routine network troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP protocols. - Hardware Management:
Install, support, and manage Windows servers, PCs, laptops, and printers. - System Maintenance:
Execute regular data backups/recovery and actively maintain agency security software.
- Basic understanding or knowledge of fundamental networking protocols.
- Familiarity with Windows server environments and standard workstation hardware.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Exposure to authentication protocols.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and IIS (Internet Information Services).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (M365) administration.
- Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self‑starter.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
