• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered. Required Skills
• 7+ years of experience with JCL, DB2 z/OS, SQL, and COBOL. Strong knowledge of DB2 z/OS database performance. 5+ years of Quality Assurance (QA) testing experience.
Experience with data conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation. Ability to analyze complex and ambiguous technical and data scenarios. Strong SQL and data analysis skills with the ability to identify data discrepancies and nuances. Experience working with business partners and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience using JIRA for task and issue tracking and documentation.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Missouri SAMII (Statewide Advantage for Missouri). Experience supporting MOVERS (Missouri Vital Enterprise Resource System) or similar large-scale ERP implementations. Experience converting data from DB2 z/OS to Oracle. Accounting or financial systems experience. Payroll systems experience. State or government IT experience. Project Description The Client is transitioning data from the legacy SAMII mainframe system to the new MOVERS system.
This position will support database conversion activities, including the migration of DB2 data to MOVERS Oracle requirements. The resource will work closely with the MOVERS technical team, project stakeholders, and business SMEs to ensure data is accurately mapped, converted, validated, and tested.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the conversion of data from SAMII DB2 z/OS to MOVERS Oracle. Review data mapping requirements and develop conversion solutions. Analyze legacy COBOL programs, DB2 tables, SQL, and JCL to understand data processing and business rules. Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and conversion issues. Support system testing, QA/QAT, and UAT activities. Collaborate with technical teams and business SMEs to clarify requirements and resolve complex issues.
Document assigned work, progress, changes, and resolutions in JIRA. Provide monthly status updates and support assigned project deliverables. Work under the direction of the MOVERS State Technical Lead.
