Base Salary $45,268 (The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the candidate selected is eligible for a years-of-service pay differential, it will be added to the total compensation. A pay differential does not raise the base pay.)

Division of Professional Registration, State Board of Nursing, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.

Candidates must have good, effective communication skills, be self‑motivated with the ability to multi‑task, make routine decisions, organize workflow and establish priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities- Review and prepare certified copies of information, which includes the redaction of personal history information of patients and licensees.
- Complete data entry in the division’s licensing system for each assigned duty.
- Verify contact information for licensees and potential legal representation.
- Prepare necessary mailing documents and/or service for upcoming hearings.
- Maintain spreadsheet for pertinent case law and applicable statutes and regulations.
- Prepare case files for attorneys and Board member review.
- Prepare case files for Board meetings.
- Assist in creation and filing of exhibits and other legal filings for hearings.
- Request documents from courts and other state agencies as needed for case files.
- Attend Board meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in paralegal studies or closely related field; or two (2) or more years of experience in a legal environment preferably in reviewing official documents such as claims, applications or legal documentation. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, One Note and Excel.
Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
