Member Services Technician

Job Location

This position will be located at 832 Weathered Rock Ct Jefferson City MO

• Process enrollment, change, cancellation and plan incentive forms for current employees and retirees, including researching required documentation, generating correspondence, ensuring internal system accuracy, and answering related questions.
• Respond to plan members, employees, payroll/personnel representatives, MCHCP vendors, government entities, and internal staff regarding eligibility and related topics.
• Verify member status inquiries on leave of absence, worker’s compensation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), disability, terminations, and retirement.
• Provide outreach to members, employees, Human Resources and payroll/personnel representatives requesting or verifying information.
• Assist public entity group and state members with enrollment, eligibility, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) enrollment, cancellations, changes, transfers, and retirement.
• Research and respond to internal department inquiries regarding appeals and process approved appeals.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service and office work experience with general knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.
• Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis for the required customer service experience at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Excellent attendance record.
