Maintenance​/Mechanic

Job Location:

Capital Sand Company - MO - Jefferson City, MO 65101. Position Type:
Full Time.

• Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols.
• Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials.
• Uses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
• Operates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirements.
• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Perform safety checks on heavy equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Must maintain equipment and machinery.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintenance experience.
• Welding experience.
• Mechanical experience.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
