Position Overview

Department:
Cardiology (7 North Building)

• Full-Time Nights – 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, (3) 12‑hour shifts per week, (1) weekend every 4th weekend, Pattern scheduling
• Full-Time Days – 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, (3) 12‑hour shifts per week, (1) weekend every 4th weekend, Pattern scheduling

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND Required professional licensure at time of hire.
