This Travel LPN role delivers compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medically complex patients in a Long-Term Acute Care setting. The LPN supports the interdisciplinary team, administers medications, manages wound care, and ensures compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct patient care under RN or physician supervision
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
- Assist with wound care, tracheostomy care, IV therapy (within scope), and other nursing procedures
- Accurately document patient assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection prevention standards
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- Active Missouri LPN License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Skills:
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- Previous LTAC, Skilled Nursing, Med/Surg, Rehabilitation, or Acute Care experience
- Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience
