The Children's Division is seeking professional candidates for our Information Security Officer position. This position will be based in Jefferson City, MO.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the as the Division Information Security Officer responsible for the implementation of security related regulations, policies, and procedures. Work in close contact with the Department Information Security Officer to address issues specific to Children's Division, interpret security related regulations, and assist in maintaining departmental security efforts.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of divisional security policies and procedures. Respond to security compliance questions from department and division staff, contractors, outside organizations, etc.
  • Serve as the Division Information Security Officer and will be responsible for monitoring and addressing system security issues. Work with system vendors to monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities through security risk assessments. Ensure that security policies are followed and approve or deny access and ensure that data sharing agreements are in place before data is shared with outside entities and assist in the provisioning and de‑provisioning of user accounts.
  • Serve as Automated Data Processing (ADP) Security Officer Liaison as well as assist with development and implementation of fiscal agent and departmental security policies and procedures. Participate in administrative, physical and technical security reviews for the division and prepare security risk assessment documents. Responsible for coordinating responses to system and security audit requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and Four or more years of professional or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.

(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the stated experience.)

(A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two years of the stated experience.)

(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis for deficiencies in the stated college education.)

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Children’s Division
  • Basic understanding of user account management, 1AM concepts and security principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 Suite, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data security principles
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethics in handling sensitive client and employee data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, process oriented and a willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, especially in a public service setting
