Description
The Missouri Interstate Logos office in Jefferson City, Missouri is hiring an Operations Manager to complete necessary field operations tasks related to the Interstate Logo signing and TODS (Tourist-oriented directional signing) programs. This first line manager is responsible for maintaining safe structures, equipment, and construction shop.
The Interstate Logos division of Lamar Advertising is the largest provider of contract logo signing and TODS programs, partnering with State Transportation Agencies since 1988. Interstate Logos is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lamar Media Corp., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lamar Advertising.
Please note that overnight weekly travel may be required for this position.

- Detailed knowledge of the inventory/market and obstacles of each structure in the market.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- College degree preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required
- 2 years of relevant Operations or construction experience required

A Day In The Life- Installation and removal of interstate logo signs via bucket truck
- Development of new site plans and drawing of as-built site plans (plans to ensure correct location and specifications of logo signs)
- Minor sign repair and sign maintenance
- Vegetation control (site clearing) related to the ground-mounted signs including removal of trees, brush, weeds, etc.
- Update and complete all sign inspections annually
- Plan each day, week, and month in advance with built in flexibility for changes in company priorities
- Complete all tasks within allotted time frame
- Maintain field survey, sign inspections, and work lists in neat and legible manner
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Work a minimum 40 hour/5 day schedule, arrival in office by 8:00 am
- Travel overnight when necessary
- The primary work environment consists of an office, outdoors, and vehicle.
- Must be willing to work independently along controlled and non-controlled access roadways
- Maintain a professional appearance and ensure company vehicle maintains a neat and professional appearance
- The physical demands for this position include lifting (20 to 50 lbs.), pushing, reaching, seeing (with focus on reading, color distinction, acuity, peripheral vision, and depth perception), some sitting, standing, stooping, walking, talking, climbing, and turning.
- Nights spent traveling are 25 to 50%.
