Supervisory Responsibilities:
Help oversee team of student interns and federal work study students assigned to the Center for Community Engagement.
Summary
Description:
The Service Scholarship Coordinator will help oversee all aspects of the Bonner, Six8, Faith & Justice and Community Connections Scholars, including recruitment, selection, orientation, training, placement, reflection and evaluation.
Essential Functions:
* As an intentionally Christian academic community hiring Christian educators, all employees will be expected to advance the mission, vision, and identity of Carson-Newman University as defined in university policy and expressed in our strategic plan and are expected to work as cooperative and collegial members of the University.

* Help develop and implement programming that demonstrates and proclaims the Gospel by equipping students for a lifetime of Christ-like service.
* Build strong connections with and work alongside community site partners to support students and meet community needs.
* Help coordinate the Bonner, Six8, Faith & Justice, and Community Connections Scholars programs.
* Mentor students throughout their C-N journey, offering advice, support, and referral to resources where needed.
* Manage online and in office data and paperwork related to running the scholarship programs.
* Serve on assigned university committees and other duties as assigned by the Director of the Center for Community Engagement

Education:
Must possess a four year degree
Experience:
· Previous experience with workshop and/or training development & evaluation.
· Previous experience with event planning and leading students
· Experience working in community-based ministry, the nonprofit sector and/or higher education administration.
· Experience managing online or technological data tracking resources.
Required Skills:
· Ability to articulate strong connections between Christian faith and community development.
· Ability to organize and lead groupnmeetings.
· Ability to work with a variety of community agencies and nonprofits.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work well with college students and young adults.
