American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TN or compact licensure and at least 1 year of ED experience.

• Work in a 16-bed Emergency Services department
• Variable patient ratio of 4:1
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• No 48-hour work week requirement
• EMR system used is First Net
  - Cerner

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• CPI certification required, may be obtained on-site after contract start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Critical care assessment and management skills required
• IV skills and cardiac monitoring competency required
• Proficient in triage, critical thinking, and nursing assessment skills
• Experience with IV/IO, chest tube management, catheterization, and critical care drips required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Responsibilities include patient triage, critical care assessment, and management of ED patients
• Scrub color required is royal blue
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout applies for Labor Day
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
