Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEWAs a Hearing Specialist Audiologist, you will conduct thorough evaluations of hearing and recommend effective treatment plans to enhance or maintain hearing abilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Identify, test, diagnose, and manage auditory and balance disorders, including tinnitus; interpret results from behavioral and objective measures. (40%)
- Counsel patients on hearing health and assess the necessity for treatment or management. (10%)
- Evaluate individuals with hearing loss for hearing aid candidacy, provide fitting, programming, and audio logic rehabilitation to achieve optimal outcomes. (20%)
- Perform assessments and provide nonmedical management for tinnitus. (20%)
- Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on the psychosocial adjustments required due to hearing loss. (10%)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree OR Doctorate in Audiology
- Current Pennsylvania Audiologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
- CPR Certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- 1-3 years of experience in hearing evaluation and management, including the dispensing and management of hearing assistive devices
- 1-3 years of experience working in a healthcare environment
