Audiologist - Hearing Specialist

Job Description :

As a Hearing Specialist Audiologist, you will conduct thorough evaluations of hearing and recommend effective treatment plans to enhance or maintain hearing abilities.

• Identify, test, diagnose, and manage auditory and balance disorders, including tinnitus; interpret results from behavioral and objective measures. (40%)
• Counsel patients on hearing health and assess the necessity for treatment or management. (10%)
• Evaluate individuals with hearing loss for hearing aid candidacy, provide fitting, programming, and audio logic rehabilitation to achieve optimal outcomes. (20%)
• Perform assessments and provide nonmedical management for tinnitus. (20%)
• Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on the psychosocial adjustments required due to hearing loss. (10%)
• Other duties as assigned.

• Master's Degree OR Doctorate in Audiology
• Current Pennsylvania Audiologist License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
• CPR Certification from the American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

• 1-3 years of experience in hearing evaluation and management, including the dispensing and management of hearing assistive devices
• 1-3 years of experience working in a healthcare environment
