Director of Accounting

Permanent/Direct Hire

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8-10+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Minimum 4+ years of leadership experience managing direct reports

• Experience with in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as AS400, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 strongly preferred)
• Prior involvement in an ERP implementation or system transformation
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

A leading global manufacturing and engineering client of Insight Global's is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team on a hybrid basis out of Jefferson, GA. This individual will serve as the financial controls leader for their region, focusing less on transactional accounting and more on driving process improvement, strengthening internal controls, and elevating overall financial rigor. While leading a team of Assistant Controllers and accounting staff (6 total) who handle day-to-day execution, this person will partner closely with cross-functional leadership to improve month-end close timelines, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement scalable processes coming out of recent audits.

The role is highly visible and strategic, requiring someone who can balance technical accounting expertise with strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to influence change across the organization.
