Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualities And Qualifications- Active Georgia Special Education (SPED) Certification with corresponding endorsements: ADAPTIVE SPED CERT for elementary, or SPED GENERAL CURRICULUM CERT for middle school.
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or significant academic and physical needs.
- Demonstrated skills in classroom management, adaptive curriculum delivery, and individualized instruction.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Reliable and enthusiastic about teaching onsite (remote/virtual options not available).
- Lead a self-contained classroom at either North Jackson Elementary (Autism Level
3) or West Jackson Middle School (ASD Level 1 or Adaptive MI/MO). - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Provide differentiated instruction, adaptive materials, and personalized support.
- Track, monitor, and report on student progress, collaborating closely with other educators, specialists, and families.
- Create an environment that promotes student independence, confidence, and growth in both academic and life skills.
This is a full-time, contract position aligned to the 2026–2027 school year, with a 37.5 hour workweek.
