The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Job Summary
This role involves comprehensive inventory management, including working closely with operations team members to reconcile inventory issues and resolving count variances, thereby ensuring accurate records. The role entails cycle counting, meticulously tracking product expiration dates, researching discrepancies, verifying and correcting inventory issues, responding to customer service requests within the CRM system, assisting operations teams with various inventory requests, and performing other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities also include moving inventory locations as needed to maintain efficient and compliant operations. Furthermore, the position handles receiving returns from vendors and customers, determining product quality for resale, and processing damaged and expired products according to company policies. A critical aspect involves reviewing, processing, and intervening on all recall notices for products, strictly adhering to QRA/QIC policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Works with operations team members reconciling inventory issues.
- Researches and resolves count variances to ensure accurate inventory records and identify potential areas of improvement in the process.
- Moves inventory locations as needed to maintain efficient and compliant operations.
- Receives returns from vendors and customers and determines product quality for resale.
- Researches, verifies, and responds to customer service requests in CRM.
- Reviews, processes, and intervenes on all recall notices for products.
- Follows QRA/QIC policies and procedures when working with recalled product.
- Follows proper product expiration date tracking protocols.
- Performs damaged and expired product processing according to company policies and procedures.
- Reconciles cycle counts inventory discrepancies.
- Assists Operations teams with inventory requests.
- Performs other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- An understanding of Microsoft Office programs
- MHE experience preferred:
- Order picker.
- Reach truck.
