Position: Maintenance Utility
Department: Maintenance Department
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Shift: C‑Shift (4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., Monday–Thursday)

• Perform battery care and changes, including basic preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment, such as balers, battery wash and charging stations, battery changer, and other equipment as assigned.
• Manage the cardboard baler process, removing bales, operating the baler and associated systems, clearing jams as needed, and performing minor preventive maintenance.
• Perform basic repairs to equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble various types of equipment using basic tools.
• Test and inspect safety harnesses.
• Painting and minor building repairs, including changing light bulbs, basic plumbing, etc.
• Complete and maintain maintenance–related logs and documentation related to maintenance actions, parts usage, etc.
• Maintain floors in the warehouse as needed.
• Perform general labor and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain grounds as required, including cleaning sidewalks, emptying trash receptacles, equipment cleaning, snow/ice removal, etc.
• Assist Maintenance Mechanics as needed.
• Perform duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months to one year experience in a maintenance environment with demonstrated knowledge and proficiency.
• Ability to stand the duration of the shift and work in varying climates.
• Familiar with basic hand tools.
• Comfortable working at different heights as needed.
• Familiar with OSHA / NFPA standards.
• Maintains safe work practices at all times, including wearing PPE and using LOTO.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

This position has a starting pay rate of $18.00 per hour. The actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
