Sprays surfaces of trucks, buses, vans or other vehicles assigned with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using a spray gun.

• Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create plan to perform work.
• Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks.
• Disassemble and re‑assemble truck parts and accessories to access painted surfaces.
• Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting.
• Operate air operated sanding and grinding equipment.
• Perform all taping and masking in a professional manner to assure a quality and acceptable finished product.
• Determine that surfaces are paint ready before applying paint products.
• Apply paint products with proper training and knowledge of paint mixing procedures.
• Use safety equipment for painting, including respirators and body protection.
• Provide a quality and acceptable paint finish for all paint assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

One year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school.

Minimum of two years related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

• Knowledge of respirator systems.
