Position SummarySprays surfaces of trucks, buses, vans or other vehicles assigned with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel‑coat, or lacquer, using a spray gun.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create a plan to perform work.
- Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks.
- Disassemble and re‑assemble truck parts and accessories to access painted surfaces.
- Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting.
- Operate air‑operated sanding and grinding equipment.
- Perform all taping and masking in a professional manner to ensure a quality and acceptable finished product.
- Identify surfaces that are paint ready before applying paint products.
- Receive proper training for applying paint products and understand paint‑mixing procedures.
- Operate pressurized spray equipment.
- Familiarize with safety equipment for painting, respirators, body protection, etc.
- Provide a quality and acceptable paint finish for all paint assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be safe, avoid injury and promote a safe work environment.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all company proprietary and confidential information.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies.
- Interact well and cooperatively with other employees.

Education
One year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school.
Experience
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
