1:1 LPN School Nurse Jefferson, GA

We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, 1:1 school nursing position supporting a 5th grade student in Jefferson, GA for the  school year.

  Onsite, no virtual option
• Caseload: 1:1, 5th grade student

Responsibilities

The LPN will provide direct nursing support throughout the school day and during transportation, including:

• G-tube/GJ-tube feedings
• Student care and changing
• Medication administration
• Vital sign monitoring
• Supplemental oxygen as needed
• Oral suctioning
• Seizure monitoring and care
• Asthma management
• Following the student's IEP and physician's orders

The nurse will meet the student at his home each morning, ride the bus with the student to school, and ride the bus back to the student's home in the afternoon to ensure continuity of care and safety during transportation.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• Previous experience with medically complex students preferred
• Experience with G/J-tubes, oxygen, suctioning, seizures, asthma, and medication administration preferred
• Comfortable providing 1:1 care in a school and transportation setting
• Strong communication and documentation skills
