Aircraft Mechanic

North Georgia Aviation (NGAV) is a growing flight training and aircraft management company based at the Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport KGVL in Gainesville, GA, and the Jackson County Airport KJCA in Jefferson, GA. We operate a Cessna and Cirrus piston fleet and serve both student pilots and private aircraft owners in the region. This is a foundational hire. You will be the Head of our Maintenance Department, operating out of our dedicated on-site maintenance hangar  will own the maintenance operation from day one, with real opportunity to grow the department as NGAV grows. You will work closely with our flight school leadership to keep aircraft on the line and minimize downtime. Turnaround speed and communication are just as important as technical skill in this role.

• Perform annual inspections, oil changes, 100-hour inspections, and scheduled maintenance on the NGAV flight training fleet
• Handle unscheduled maintenance and squawk resolution to keep aircraft available for flight training
• Coordinate with school leadership to schedule maintenance around flight operations and return aircraft to service quickly
• Maintain and service managed client aircraft & other external clients
• Manage parts ordering, maintenance records, and database updates accurately and on time
• Perform basic aircraft cleaning and upkeep as needed for Return to Service completion
• Lead the maintenance department and help shape how it grows

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required
• Experience with Cessna and/or Cirrus piston aircraft strongly preferred
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload independently
• Strong communicator who works well with pilots, instructors, and management
• Detail-oriented with accurate, timely record keeping habits
• Strong organization skills and cleanliness when maintaining aircraft
