Forklift Operator

Payrate: $18.00/H on W2 Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Jefferson GA, 30549 Shift

Schedule:

1st shift Monday to Friday 6 am 2:30 pm – OT as required and determined by business demands

Description:

Drives forklift, or other common warehouse equipment to transport materials from one location to another. Require a specialized license. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks. Duties may include loading/unloading at point of origin/destination and require execution of applicable paperwork and administrative duties associated with shipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support the picking/packing, loading/unloading and general warehousing duties.
• Understand method of locating materials.
• Read a packing list and follow defined shipping/receiving protocols.
• Record turnback's
• Process rework work orders/purchase orders.
• Perform and reconcile cycle counts, relentless root cause analysis.
• Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards.
• Execute JDE transactions relative to your area of responsibility.
• Perform 5S.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience –

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified PIV Driver preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in a high volume, high complexity, distribution environment preferred.
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat.
• This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
