Position Title:

Recon Repair Tech Wage: $20.85/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours:

6:00am-2:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Recon Repair Tech for a company in Jefferson, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and refurbishment of products and assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment to identify product failures and determine repair requirements
  • Identify and request parts, components, and materials needed for product repairs
  • Perform repairs according to company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
  • Escalate complex product issues to senior technicians, engineering, or quality teams as necessary
  • Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Utilize electrical testing devices, measuring instruments, and diagnostic tools to verify repair effectiveness
  • Conduct functional testing to ensure repaired units meet performance requirements
  • Perform cleaning, cosmetic touch-up, and preparation of repaired products
  • Complete final inspection and packaging of repaired units and accessories for shipment
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and repair documentation
  • Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Preferred manufacturing, assembly, repair, maintenance, service technician, electronics technician, automotive technician, HVAC technician, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience
  • Preferred experience with product testing, troubleshooting, refurbishment, or equipment repair
  • Preferred knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, OSHA, or quality systems
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout the work shift
  • Frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and use hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and repair environment with seasonal temperature variations and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or byproducts
  • Required to wear assigned PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective clothing, shields, and safety footwear as required
