Volunteer Board Member - St. Coletta of Wisconsin Foundation Board
Location:
Jefferson and Waukesha, WI (In-Person preferred, Virtual Possible)
We are particularly seeking individuals with expertise in Human Resources, Legal (Healthcare a plus), Government and Public Policy, and Insurance. In addition, experience in areas such as fundraising, marketing, computer science, or pastoral ministries will also be highly valued.
This is an unpaid role starting on July 1, 2026 for a 3-year term.

St. Coletta of Wisconsin is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors as volunteer members. Board members play a key role in providing governance, strategic direction, and support to help drive the organization’s mission and growth.
A Foundation Board MemberA Foundation Board Member helps guide and support the mission of the foundation by providing strategic oversight, governance, and financial stewardship. Board members work collaboratively to ensure the organization operates responsibly, fulfills its mission, and remains financially sustainable.
Responsibilities- Governance & Oversight:
Attend and actively participate in board meetings and committee meetings. - Governance & Oversight:
Help set the foundation’s strategic direction and policies. - Governance & Oversight:
Ensure the organization operates in alignment with its mission and bylaws. - Governance & Oversight:
Provide oversight of programs, finances, and organizational performance.
- Financial Stewardship:
Review and approve annual budgets and financial reports. - Financial Stewardship:
Ensure responsible management of the foundation’s funds. - Financial Stewardship:
Support fundraising initiatives and financial sustainability.
- Fundraising & Advocacy:
Act as an ambassador for the foundation in the community. - Fundraising & Advocacy:
Assist with fundraising efforts, donor cultivation, and events. - Fundraising & Advocacy:
Help identify potential donors, partners, and supporters.
- Strategic Support:
Provide expertise, guidance, and professional insight. - Strategic Support:
Support leadership and staff in achieving organizational goals. - Strategic Support:
Participate in strategic planning initiatives.
- Attend regular board meetings (typically quarterly or as scheduled).
- Serve on at least one board committee when possible.
- Maintain confidentiality and act in the best interest of the foundation.
- Support the mission through personal contributions or fundraising efforts.
- Passionate about serving individuals with developmental disabilities and making a positive impact in the community.
- Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit or business setting (prior board experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, human resources, insurance, fundraising, finance, legal matters, marketing, computer sciences or pastoral ministries will be prioritized.
- Commitment to attending quarterly board meetings (in-person preferred or virtual) and actively engaging in committee work.
