Wound Care Coordinator RN

Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with wound care experience for Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours each day. This position will lead the team in caring for our residents at risk for skin breakdown. This position will also guide, direct, teach and train staff regarding treatments, interventions and prevention of skin issues.

• Lead the team in caring for residents at risk for skin breakdown.
• Collaborate with CNAs who provide ADL care and work with nurses to monitor weights, vitals, skin care and changes in resident behavior/status information.
• Participate in clinical assessments and care, admission/discharge detail, and medication management.
• Be part of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement process to continually improve care.
• Support orientation and education for newer nurses to ensure smooth transitions into our electronic medical record system and the field of nursing.
• Provide guidance, teaching, and training related to treatments and prevention of skin issues.

• Must hold a current unincumbered WI RN license.
• Preferred candidate would be wound care certified.
