• Get students to and from school safely and on time.
• Drive route confidently in all kinds of weather and traffic.
• Create a respectful, safe environment on the bus.
• Build great connections with students, parents, and school staff.
• Help students who need assistance getting on or off the bus.
• Keep vehicle clean, fueled, and ready to roll.
• Handle daily safety checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Follow all transportation laws, school policies, and route directions.
• Check tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment.
• Operate gasoline, diesel, or electric multi‑passenger vehicles.
• Maintain first‑aid knowledge and keep bus interiors clean.
• Maintain order among students and ensure safety during trips.
• Pick up and drop off students at scheduled locations.
• Prepare and submit reports on students, trips, hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Read maps and follow geographic directions.
• Record bus routes and regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems.
• Report bus malfunctions, repairs, delays, accidents, or traffic issues.
• Report delinquent student behaviors to school administration.

• Class A or B CDL, or willingness to obtain one (training provided).
• Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements or ability to obtain them.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Good communication skills and a calm, friendly attitude.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Desire to be a positive influence in the community.
• Minimum age 21.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean record.
• Pass a background check.
