Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Manager to lead site safety activities for a major industrial project in Kentucky
.

This position will have overall responsibility for the site safety program, including safety systems, field activities, risk management, and coordination with adjacent operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in safety leadership, construction safety, or industrial safety and a proven track record managing safety programs at the site level.

• Lead and oversee the site safety program and safety team
• Ensure safety systems, procedures, and field practices are effectively implemented
• Identify and manage workplace hazards and high risk activities
• Provide safety leadership and direction to field personnel and contractors
• Conduct field observations, inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Support incident prevention, investigation, and corrective action activities
• Monitor compliance with applicable safety requirements, procedures, and standards
• Manage safety interfaces between the project site and adjacent facilities
• Address risks associated with human and machine interaction
• Work closely with site leadership, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve safety issues
• Promote effective safety communication and engagement across the workforce
• Provide leadership to a small site safety team

• 15+ years of professional experience in safety, construction safety, industrial safety, or related
• Previous experience in a senior or lead safety role
• Experience managing site-level safety programs
• Experience working in industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or other high-hazard environments
• Experience leading safety personnel and coordinating with contractors
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable safety standards
• Experience identifying and mitigating operational and workplace hazards
• Ability to work onsite in Kentucky

• Previous experience supporting Exxon Mobil projects or operations
• Recent experience within Exxon Mobil environments
• Experience with construction, commissioning, startup, or industrial operations
• Experience managing safety risks involving equipment, machinery, and human machine interfaces
• Experience managing interfaces between multiple facilities, contractors, or work groups
• Professional safety certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent

This is a site leadership position rather than a training focused safety role. The successful candidate should have previous experience taking ownership of a site safety program, leading safety personnel, and making decisions related to operational risk.
