OSP Field Inspector​/OSP Construction Coordinator​/KY

About the Opportunity

Broadstaff is seeking an experienced OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator to support a large-scale fiber construction initiative throughout Southeast Alabama. We're looking for professionals who know OSP construction and enjoy being in the field, working directly with crews, documenting progress, updating redlines, and serving as the eyes and ears of the client's OSP Construction team. This is not a Construction Manager (CM) role.

Instead, you'll focus on inspection, documentation, reporting, and field support activities that help keep construction projects moving efficiently.

• Perform field inspections of underground and aerial fiber construction projects
• Monitor contractor production and provide daily status reporting
• Capture photos, measurements, and field documentation
• Update redlines and support as-built documentation efforts
• Verify construction methods and document field changes
• Provide real-time updates and communication to internal OSP teams
• Identify potential issues and elevate concerns as needed
• Support construction coordinators who are managing projects remotely
• Travel throughout the assigned Southeast Alabama territory to active job sites

• OSP telecom construction, utility construction, or fiber deployment experience
• Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber construction practices
• Ability to read construction drawings, maps, permits, and redlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience documenting field activity and production progress
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, cameras, and reporting tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned market
