By joining our District 12, PD&P Branch II, Prestonsburg Section as a Transportation Engineer Supervisor in Floyd and Martin County, you’ll have the opportunity to supervise employees in maintenance and construction activities.

Summary Of Responsibilities
  • Oversees the work of transportation maintenance crews and construction inspector crews.
  • Plans, schedules, and supervises the work and activities of engineering crews on major projects under development, review, construction, or maintenance.
  • Organizing and conducting meetings in the planning, construction and maintenance of projects.
  • Develops and maintains project or program documentation.
  • Meets with local property owners and officials to discuss highway road conditions and needs.
Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In
  • Must be licensed professional engineer by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure.
  • Must have two years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.

Additional position information (travel required, standing, stooping, bending, lifting, sitting at a desk, etc.):
  • Work is performed in the office and in the field.
  • In the office, work will involve sitting at a desk and moving about the office to collaborate with other employees.
  • In the field, there will be risks associated with existing project locations, such as live traffic, and also construction sites, such as moving equipment and material.
