By joining our District 12, PD&P Branch II, Prestonsburg Section as a Transportation Engineer Supervisor in Floyd and Martin County, you’ll have the opportunity to supervise employees in maintenance and construction activities.
- Oversees the work of transportation maintenance crews and construction inspector crews.
- Plans, schedules, and supervises the work and activities of engineering crews on major projects under development, review, construction, or maintenance.
- Organizing and conducting meetings in the planning, construction and maintenance of projects.
- Develops and maintains project or program documentation.
- Meets with local property owners and officials to discuss highway road conditions and needs.
- Must be licensed professional engineer by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure.
- Must have two years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.

- In the office, work will involve sitting at a desk and moving about the office to collaborate with other employees.
- In the field, there will be risks associated with existing project locations, such as live traffic, and also construction sites, such as moving equipment and material.

Substitute EDUCATION for
EXPERIENCE:
A master's degree in engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience. Graduate work in engineering beyond a master's degree will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
