Job Description:

• Will work on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Responsible for completing project specific objectives on time, under direction of Sr. Mechanical Engineer;
  Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software
• Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
• Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
• Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.
• Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
• Will work on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Power Plant, Process, and/or Heavy Industrial Design experience?
• Pipe Stress Analysis
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

• Judgment and Decision Making
• Attention to Detail
• Strong desire to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• FE and PE or willingness to obtain both
• Energy and Chemical and/or Power Design Engineering Experience
