IT Project Manager, Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional technology delivery: drive end-to-end planning and execution of complex technology initiatives, aligning engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
- Serve as a technical consultant, technical challenger and trusted advisor: assess systems, architectures, designs, and delivery approaches; identify modernization and optimization opportunities; provide actionable recommendations that influence technical and business strategy.
- Drive cross-team execution and delivery coordination: act as a force multiplier across engineering, quality, product, architecture, and operations teams; coordinate testing, manage cross-team dependencies, remove execution roadblocks, and ensure alignment across complex initiatives.
- Ensure quality, performance, and operational readiness: oversee validation, testing, integration, and deployment readiness, ensuring solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements before production launch.
- Guide issue resolution and technical problem solving: partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues, drive root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution efforts that protect system stability and business continuity.
- Align delivery teams and stakeholders: facilitate communication across engineering, operations, product, and business leadership, ensuring risks, dependencies, and decisions are surfaced clearly and managed effectively.
- Champion AI-enabled delivery and modernization: lead the adoption of enterprise-grade AI capabilities across the software development lifecycle; promote use of tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, and other emerging enterprise AI solutions to accelerate development, improve documentation quality, enhance knowledge sharing, streamline testing, and support modernization initiatives.
- Promote delivery excellence and continuous improvement: establish and refine delivery processes, documentation standards, and best practices that elevate execution quality across teams and programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technology roles such as software engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, solution delivery, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with technologies used within enterprise applications or infrastructure.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to review, evaluate, and challenge software architecture, application design, integration patterns, and engineering approaches.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex delivery efforts across multiple engineering and business teams.
- Experience driving quality assurance, test planning, release readiness, and dependency management activities for large-scale initiatives.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with unit testing, mocking, or validating modern software components.
- Proven ability to influence technical decision-making without direct authority through credibility, collaboration, and leadership.
- A passion for improving technology through thoughtful leadership.
- PMP certification.
- Six Sigma certification.
- MBA or another advanced degree.
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs.
- Background in technology solution assessments, strategy planning, or enterprise consulting.
