Logistics Coordination, Inventory Control & Analysis
Overview
Arhaus was founded in 1986 on a simple idea:
Furniture and décor should be sustainably sourced, lovingly made, and built to last. Today, we partner with artisans around the world who share our vision, creating beautiful, heirloom-quality pieces that can be used—and loved—for generations.
The Inventory Exceptions Specialist will exhibit customer delivery exceptions with an urgency based in accuracy, to account for and solve any inventory discrepancies pre or post delivery that could potentially negatively impact the customer experience. This includes coordinating with 3PL delivery providers across the country to ensure accurate inventory for customer deliveries, tracking reverse logistics exceptions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
The role involves understanding and reviewing multi-system transactions that occur throughout the lifespan of an order, and cross-functionally addressing variances to improve customer account accuracy and inventory on hand accuracy. The ideal candidate demonstrates consistent problem-solving judgment, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to continuously improve. The Inventory Exceptions Specialist will work out of the Arhaus Boston Heights Corporate Campus main building and contribute to a high-performing logistics team in retail.
- Daily review and resolution of all reported orders and inventory exceptions tied to customer orders, including OS&D on inbound receiving and exceptions at delivery, ensuring orders reflect correctly and inventory matches through to the ERP system.
- Process returns, exchanges, and return inventory to support seamless reverse logistics flow back to origin points or clearance outlets.
- Assist with quality and product status changes and holds as they pertain to customer orders to mitigate negative impacts and communicate accordingly.
- Review and act on logistics help requests from internal teams and external partners, with emphasis on customer sales orders.
- Support internal teams within Arhaus Supply Chain to achieve task or project goals on a scheduled or as-needed basis.
- Continuously seek process improvements within the role and cross-functionally to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Understand ERP, WMS, and other logistics/order management systems to monitor and move inventory while accounting for customer order impact.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and act as a role model for the organization.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional discussions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management tools.
- Minimum 1 year of inventory control experience (cycle counting, WMS/ERP systems, research and corrective actions, sales order exception auditing and processing).
- Understanding of logistics and warehousing practices, including order processing, picking, shipping, and delivery/return processes.
- Dedicated and adaptable to changing environments with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in public company environments with compliance exposure (SOX) is strongly preferred.
- Effective time management at individual and team levels; collaborative and willing to learn and lead.
