The Director of Supply Chain Operations is a proactive and transformative leader for two premier specialty vehicle manufacturing organizations. With dual reporting lines to business unit CEOs, the Supply Chain Operations Director leads Procurement, Materials, Planning, and Supply Chain governance ensuring material availability, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and operational discipline. A successful candidate will have a proven track record in building sustainable supply chain processes, strengthening governance and accountability, and stabilization and adoption of ERP driven planning and procurement processes that support service, working capital, and operational performance.
Keyareas of ownership:
Inventory performance and working capital optimization
- Reduction of slow-moving and obsolete inventory
- Set appropriate inventory policies and replenishment practices
- Ensure alignment between inventory investment and cash flow objectives
- Ensure planning, materials, and purchasing activities operate as an integrated process
- Accountable for the overall procurement strategy and execution across the business units, including direct materials, indirect materials and MRO, operational supplies and professional and operational services
- Relaunch and stabilize Macola ERP, ensuring supply chain process design, planning parameters, and data integrity are embedded into daily operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics performance, freight cost control, warehouse operations (internal or 3PL), and distribution network reliability
- Lead and develop high performing supply chain teams across both businesses. Ensure capability in planning discipline, strategic sourcing, negotiation, and instill a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership within manufacturing environments. Automotive or aerospace industry experience preferred.
- Proven experience leading supply chain stabilization and transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in procurement, planning, and inventory control
- Experience leading ERP implementation, relaunch, or post-go-live stabilization (Macola or similar ERP strongly preferred)
- Experience operating in fast paced environments that require decisive decision-making and execution discipline
