Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. Responsible for the technical support of PLC based hardware and software, installation, troubleshooting, and training.
- Operate computer systems
- Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs or operational plans
- Discuss designs or plans with clients
- Maintain electronic equipment
- Prepare operational and development reports
- Investigate system, equipment, or product failures
- Estimate technical or resource requirements for development or production projects
- Program PLCs according to customer functional specifications
- Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs
- Program HMIs according to customer specifications
- Travel 70-80% to visit customer sites
- Technical Degree
- 3-5 years' experience in the field or in related area
- Familiar with industrial equipment
- 3-5 years' experience programming PLCs and HMIs
- Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Experience with packaging equipment
- 3-5 years' experience programming Allen-Bradley and Siemens
