What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors
As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will contribute significantly to the success of our Field Services Survey team by managing clients, projects and leading the survey group in Indiana. You'll play a key role in staying up to date with market trends and leaders. Your entrepreneurial spirit will directly influence the growth and direction of the group.
Your Responsibilities
- Engage with internal and external clients for survey-related projects.
- Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance procedures, as necessary.
- Prepare scope and fee proposals for projects.
- Understand required survey and R/W scope and recommend change orders when appropriate.
- Lead a team of survey professionals and technicians to effectively collect and process survey data.
- Effectively communicate information to staff and leadership team.
- Provide technical expertise, problem solving and training to develop staff.
- Calculate parcel and lot line locations and/or easement lines using taxation information and/or title information.
- Review easement and right-of-way descriptions and documents, with drawings if required as specified by the client.
- Review lot splits and combinations based on the local requirements.
- Perform research of public land survey records.
- Understand state and local regulations regarding surveying standards and practices.
- Occasionally perform survey field activities such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile, and cross section surveys.
