Quality Engineer
This position supports quality assurance for both the launch of new products and the ongoing production of roll-formed components. The role involves direct communication with customers and suppliers to address corrective actions, the creation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents, and conducting root cause analysis. Additionally, the role includes programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with customers and suppliers to address corrective actions.
- Create and manage quality documentation, including PPAPs.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Program CMMs using PC-DMIS or Polyworks software.
- Ensure quality standards are met for new product launches and existing production.
Essential
Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience in automotive quality engineering.
- Proficiency in CMM programming using PC-DMIS or Polyworks.
- Experience with root cause analysis and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of PPAP and automotive quality standards.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Wenzel RA1621 CMM.
- Experience in automotive product launches.
- Consideration for candidates with CMM programming experience who have not held an Engineer title.
Work Environment:
The role involves an 80/20 split between working in the quality lab/office and the production floor. The facility includes roll form and weld lines, as well as secondary forming equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime required.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
