Job DescriptionFamily Ark provides individual and family therapy services to youth and families in southern Indiana. The Family Preservation Therapist provides therapeutic interventions both in the home and office settings and collaborates with team members, schools, families and other professionals to meet each family's specific goals and needs. This individual works with DCS-involved families who have had a substantiated incident of abuse and/or neglect, where DCS believes the child(ren) can remain in the home with their caregiver(s) with the implementation of appropriate services.
This position reports to the Community-Based Program Manager.

Family Ark provides "free" clinical supervision towards your Independent License as a part of your employment.
Key Responsibilities Include- Facilitates individual and family therapy primarily in the home of the client
- Maintains all client case records by documenting client contacts, as well as contacts with the Department of Children's Services, schools, parents, and other professionals
- Develops treatment plans, revises treatment plans and writes and submits monthly reports to the Department of Children's Services
- Participates in case conferences and court proceedings as necessary for client care
- Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or mental health counseling.
- 2 years of like social service experience in their respective discipline.
- Professional license (LSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LMHCA, LMHC) required.
- Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
