Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of adolescents, children, adults, and the CD population. In addition to our inpatient services, we offer outpatient programs as well.

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. Assist Director in day to day plant operations, assigning and prioritizing work orders, and execute emergency breakdown response. Coordinate with departments and contractors in scheduling and work execution, ensuring proper workflow.

Job Duties:

• Performs tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, preventative maintenance.
• Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventative environment.
• Maintenance of phone systems - wiring, programming of phones.
• Clean and change air filters.
• Clean kitchen grease traps and stove hood filters.
• Operate and maintain emergency power plant.
• Dry wall.
• Janitorial duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
:
High school graduate or equivalent; two years of technical or trade school preferred.

Experience
:
Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Must have experience in the areas of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering. Must have an understanding of Accrediting Organization and other organizations/agencies like NFPA, OSHA, and EPA. Healthcare experience is preferred. Hours are day shift 7am-3:30pm but would be as needed.

Additional Requirements
:
Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within four weeks of hire; must have valid driver's license (MVR will be run in addition to other various background checks).
